Sarah E. Murphy grew up in Falmouth Heights, in a family of writers. Her love of storytelling was encouraged at an early age by her parents, Jim and Margaret, and as a student in Falmouth Public Schools. She earned a degree in English and Writing from Bridgewater State University in 1995, working in the Greater Boston area until 2003, when she was lured back to her hometown by the lull of the ocean. Sarah spent 12 years as a feature writer and photographer for The Bulletin, a Wicked Local publication, dating back to the newspaper’s inception in 2007. She is currently researching a book showcasing the journey of clergy sex abuse survivors, with the goal of giving voice to the voiceless.
